Sentient Medical is developing a new type of miniature actuator for middle ear implants for the relief of moderate- to-severe sensorineural hearing loss – a type of deafness which affects about 90% of all hearing-impaired persons.
Working with Medel, a leading International hearing device company, using Sentient patented technology, prototype devices are being tested which if successful will lead to clinical trials.
