Objective Software Technology Ltd
Objective Software Technology Ltd (OST) was Archangels second investment. The company sold after five years to NASDAQ listed Wind River Systems for £3.67 million, netting the investors a return 10.7 times their original investments.
OST founders, Eddie Anderson and Alan West, were software engineers who had been working in BT Research on emerging telecoms infrastructure. In 1991 they spun the business out of BT, with the aim of developing a C++ software suite, providing tools for developers and programmers worldwide.
Wind River is now a global leader in delivering software for intelligent connected systems, offering a comprehensive, edge-to-cloud software portfolio designed to assist critical infrastructure companies to modernise their systems.
