In August 2015 CXR Biosciences was sold to Concept Life Sciences, the UK-based growing life sciences, scientific laboratory and consultancy group. Archangels led the first investment in the company on its formation in 2001.
CXR Biosciences are a provider of specialist contract research services, including investigative and exploratory toxicology studies, to clients in the agrichemical, pharmaceutical, chemical, biotechnology and consumer product industries.
Studies are bespoke for clients and typically address issues relating to the safety of compounds or the selection of drug or chemical candidates, aiming to accelerate drug development. This is achieved through the innovative application of molecular biology and genetics to improve predictability and relevance of pre-clinical models.
CXR was formed as a spin-out from Dundee University and now services Worldwide clients with its high caliber scientific team and extensive laboratory facilities in Dundee.
